My words, my salvation

March 20, 2018

Romans 10:9-10 "If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved."

Have you ever wondered; at what point do one become born again/saved/of faith or what ever you choose to call it, well this has crossed my mind before. Was it when I started going to church? or was it when I became "a better person"?

Growing up in a christian family I knew I believed that Jesus was God's son and God at the same time, but then did that believe mean I was born again automatically?. According to the bible verse above my believing is just a prerequisite and I still needed to DECLARE WITH MY MOUTH "JESUS IS LORD".

Now this is what I am getting at, you may believe in your heart; that is awesome, you are justified according to the bible verse above. But to activate your salvation you need to SAY IT.

So if you believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the death just say these words; O LordGod, I believe with all my heart in Jesus Christ, Son of the living God. I believe He died for me and God raised Him from the dead. I believe He's alive today. I confess with my mouth that Jesus Christ is the Lord of my life from this day. Through Him and in His name, I have eternal life; I'm born again. Thank you Lord, for saving me soul! I'm now a child of God. Hallelujah!

Congratulations! You are now a child of God.
